Friday the boys and I gave them a tour of the property, showed them our house, Ken's museum, the Mule Barn, Dylan's shop (work) and then rode bikes. I got out my shot gun and Ken's 22 pistol and Matt and I had fun blasting some stuff! The kids had a great time catching frogs...and arguing over whose they were and who had more!!!

Kazen has a huge red one in his box....and he is super proud!!!
We took them to dinner at Jaxon's favorite place "Mexican with the fountain"...it's exactly what it sounds like. Saturday Dylan and I got up early. He jumped on the tractor and flattened out a spot behind our house...and I cooked a big breakfast. Dylan and Matt went to Wal-Mart nice and early to return the demolished pool!

It took 3 carts to get it inside.

BUT...we got a new pool!!!! We set up the pool and let it fill up while we took Matt and Kali for a drive!

Fun back roads, over to the lake, and to a place (that was not very good) to eat lunch! When we got back to the farm the kids got in the pool and Dylan and Matt quickly got to work on an improved deck for the pool! They worked hard and we were all pretty stoked with the results!
Sunday morning Dylan and I had to do a ridiculous turn-around trip to Nashville to drop off a work truck for his guys that were flying into do a job. It saved him major bucks on renting them a car, but took 4 hours out of our day! Matt offered to stay with the kids, and they had fun! He took them to breakfast and to the park!

When we got back it was pool time! We had a lot if fun! I am SO glad that Matt and Kalista were able to come here!!!!!!!!!
I was really worried that moving to the sticks would mean no one would come visit us! I'm so glad that we've had tons of visitors and more to come! My parents will be here tomorrow (dad for 4 days and mom for 2 weeks) and my brother and his buddy will be coming for a day at the end of the month! I really wish I was entertaining people at my house, but do feel blessed to have a place to stay and entertain temporarily!
We've been working hard and unpacking boxes like crazy! We are still waiting on a well, but anything I can do-I am! Everything is in our house (Dad, you won't have to help us move anything lol)...but we still have some unpacking to do. It's hard because we can't unpack everything-because the house isnt complete (ie-can't put stuff under sinks because plumbing isn't done under them yet). Anyway, I am spending every waking second over there, doing little stuff here and there to get us closer to being in! I got out my craft stuff the other day so I could finish my end tables for the living room.

Most the furniture is put in its spot, but I don't have anything hung on the wall yet (Emilee, I will soon-you know it's driving me crazy lol). Dylan and I put the window casings in, but still have to frame all the windows and then get crazy with caulking(to hide our errors haha)! Anyway, the to-do list is slowly getting shorter! With all my stuff in there, it makes me more anxious to move in!!! I am excited and READY!!!
Hey I finally hung up 3 pictures when we found out they are going to tear down our house! We will make it a home as long as we can! Haha! Btw I love the tables!
